A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Conservatory for Acting in Los Angeles, Michael Walker made his directorial debut with the film "Chasing Sleep," which stars Jeff Daniels. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and was distributed by LionsGate. He followed that with the comedy "Price Check," starring Parker Posey, which was distributed by IFC Films after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. "The Maid's Room," with Paula Garces, Bill Camp, and Annabella Sciorra, was featured at the Hamptons International Film Festival and released by Paladin and FilmBuff. His most recent feature is "Cut Shoot Kill," with Alexandra Socha and Alex Hurt, which was released by Freestyle. His TV pilot, "Paint", premiered at Sundance in 2018 and won Best Drama/Dramedy at NYTVF.

Michael was born in Media, Pennsylvania but grew up mostly on Long Island, New York. After graduating from Providence College with a degree in Finance, Hollywood came calling. Initially, Michael began his acting career in Boston and appeared in many national and local TV commercials along with starring in the award winning short Sporting Dog. His debut film performance was in Stephen King's Thinner as Clinical Waiter Robert Kline. Michael graduated from the two-year Meisner Program at School for Film and Television at Three of Us Casting in 1997. He co-starred in two independent award winning films, Captive Audience and The Red Right Hand. Michael has done stand-up comedy and trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where he was a group player on several improv teams. Coupling his creative side with his professional experience at Merrill Lynch and one of the top investment banking firms, Michael brings a powerful one-two punch to Starline Films. He resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his family.- Michael was born and grew up in New York City, NY. As President of both Stoney Lake Entertainment (SLE) and Cloud Ten Pictures (C10), Michael has been instrumental in the revitalization of the multi-million dollar "Left Behind" film franchise and the 2012 formation of SLE. In this role, Michael is charged with ensuring the financing and distribution of all C10 and SLE films through investor development and extensive dealings for foreign and domestic distribution. His tireless efforts have allowed for SLE's most ambitious project to date, "Left Behind" starring Nicolas Cage and Chad Michael Murray. It has an estimated budget of $16 million and wrapped filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in October 2013. It will be released nationwide in theaters in summer 2014. As producer, Michael is responsible for putting together the financing and distribution deals for "Left Behind".
Michael brings more than 20 years experience in the faith-based entertainment industry with a successful track record in financing, manufacturing, producing, sales, digital and traditional marketing and studio operations. Michael oversees all aspects of the operation and distribution for SLE and C10 both domestically and internationally.
Having worked with many of North America's leading independent studios and manufacturing companies, Michael understands the competitive challenges studios face every day. Michael joined C10 in 2008. Michael Walker has viewed the world through a camera lens for most of his life. Michael has a strong background in lighting, portrait and commercial photography that started as a small child. He learned these skills from his father, a professional photographer owner of Cameo House Photography for over 45 years. Michael attended Newport Harbor High School, in Orange county, California. As a freshman there he purchased his first 16mm motion picture camera and started shooting game films for the local football coaches to evaluate their teams. He continued filming high school and college games as well as working in the laboratory processing film during his college education at Orange Coast Community College. He then attended The American Film Institute in Hollywood choosing cinematography as his major. After graduating from AFI, Michael worked as an assistant cameraman honing his skills by watching some of the true masters of cinematography at work. He continued working his way up through the ranks of the camera department on many notable films. Michael has lensed numerous music videos, commercials and independent feature films. Michael Chase Walker is the Creator/Publisher/Editor/Founder of The Picture This Storybook Company and the author of Power Screenwriting: The 12 Stages of Story Development. He is a film and television executive producer and screenwriter with numerous credits to his name.
After founding But Will It Play in Peoria, an award winning animation studio, he moved to Los Angeles to produce The Last Unicorn starring Alan Arkin, Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow and Christopher Lee.
While overseeing the highly acclaimed film, Jules Bass, the film's Co-Director, invited Michael to become Head of Creative Affairs for Rankin Bass Productions where he supervised production of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Return of the King, The Wind and the Willows, The LeprechaunÕs Golden Rainbow, Pinocchio's Christmas and The Flight of Dragons.
With the release of The Last Unicorn, Michael returned to Los Angeles, where he became a Staff Writer and Story Developer for the phenomenally successful, He Man and She Ra Hour of Power syndicated series.
Upon completion of his work for Filmmation Studios, Walker was brought on to the writing staff of World Event Productions to write the animated television series Voltron: Defender of the Universe.
At the same time, he freelanced for Hanna Barbera Productions for whom he wrote the screen treatments for Bill Stout's Dinosaurs and Dougal Dixon's After Man, currently in development with Dreamworks, SKG and John H. William's Vanguard Films. Michael, along with science fiction marketing wunderkind, Jeff Walker, founded Walker Brothers Productions and became the first producers hired by fledgling Tri-Star Pictures, where, under the aegis of legendary director, Sydney Pollack, they developed Poul Anderson's and Gordon Dickson's Earthman's Burden for the screen. Walker Bros. Productions went on to produce, develop and consult on many films and television shows including The Gladiator for New World Pictures and ABC Television, The Alamo, The Wayside School, and "V" The Series for Blatt Singer Productions.
Mr. Walker was appointed Director of Childrens Programs for the CBS Television Network where he conceived, supervised, presided over and inspired what was widely considered the halcyon days of 80s animation. He was directly responsible for over 100 hours of Network Animated Programs including, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Galaxy High School, Teen Wolf and Wildfire, which reunited him with The Last Unicorn alumni, Peter S. Beagle (author) and Jimmy Webb (composer).
Michael went on to found his own animation house with producer Steve Hahn entitled, Walker Hahn Productions where he developed the animated series concepts for James Bond Jr. 003 1/2, Little Dracula, Monopoly: The Series and Dino Riders for Tyco Toys.
As a freelance screenwriter, Michael was sent to Jamaica, West Indies for a year to adapt Timothy White's epic biography, Catch A Fire: The Life and Music of Bob Marley (Read the opening).
Mr. Walker's other screen work of that period, include: Seven Years in Tibet, Sleepy Hollow (Not the Tim Burton monstrosity), The Beast is Dead, Cartoon, Storming Heaven and The Arrow and the Lamp (Later optioned by Steven Spielberg's Amblimation).
From 1994 to 1999 he served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at The College of Santa Fe Moving Image Arts Department where he lectured on The History of Animation, Screenwriting 1, 2, and 3 and Advanced Story Development for the Screen. His book Power Screenwriting is considered among the best on the market. It was recently designated required reading at The University of California San Diego and many other top film schools.
Most recently Michael served as the developing Story Editor for two animated television series: Car Talk for PBS and Gravity Man for Howard Grossman and MMCEast Productions.
He has numerous film projects and screenplays in development with major studios. Among them are: After Man, The Court Jester, Galaxy High School, Catch a Fire, The Bob Marley Story, The SorcererÕs Apprentice, The Poet and The Tsar: The Life and Times of Alexander Pushkin. Michael Walker aka MELODIQ "TENTH WONDER" was born in Harlem, New York. MELODIQ is not your typical American artist. Owner, C.E.O and PRESIDENT of MELODREAM ENTERTAINMENT, Melodiq is an accomplished writer, singer, mc, songwriter, arranger, musician, Composer, Multi-instrumentalist, Record producer, Film director and actor. Melodiq began his music career as a mc, producer and writer within a group called (Mental Assassin's) who worked with Kelly Mac of Penalty Records. Later, Melodiq traveled to Virginia Beach to study under his uncle Teddy Riley, with whom Melodiq's father helped to craft early on. This union proved to be invaluable. He began mentoring and spokes modeling for the disabled and physically challenged. This led into performing and sky diving etc. This time proved to be his rebirth and he recorded his first album in Mount Sinai hospital. Dr. Michael A. Walker retired in 2015 as a highly decorated US Army Colonel. He is the oldest son of Fredrick and Barbara Walker of Columbus, Ohio.
